More repubclican trolls

Now it's official: The Republicans are a party of racists and child murderers. It all starts with Jon Hubbard, State Rep. of Arkansas, who believes that slavery and the resulting exploitation of a whole continent was in fact a good thing, because life in that time was presumably easier in America, than it was in Africa. And he calls blacks ignorant for not sharing his crackbrained belief. Yeah, that's probably why so many young black men wanted so eagerly to be caught by a slave trader, because the working conditions were so good. Actually, the slave traders had to flee from them, when their ship was full.


But the one Republican who really took the cake this week was Charlie Fuqua, who currently runs for a seat in the Arkansas House. In his book "God's Law - The Only Political Solution" he demands that all Muslims should collectively be expelled from the USA in order to solve the "Muslim problem" (What problem? With regard to this kind of extremist bullshit I can only see a Christian problem at best), that death penalty shall be administered when a criminal cannot be rehabilitated after two years, and above all: Death penalty for misbehaving children. Hey, the bible says so...

So, in the world that Fuqua is imagining, overextended parents can go to a court and have the judge speak out death sentences against their own offspring, who was spoiled by nobody else than the parents themselves. We already know the excuse for that kind of smut very well: "Left-wingers and liberals have taken my words completely out of the context and are now using them against me, for being conservative". I beg your pardon? Did you say that in the right context, the statement "Rebellious children have to die" is less overweening and extreme? Oh yes of course, the sub-clause said "but we won't do this very often."

Now there's the question if we can call this trolling, with respect that these two men represent one of the two biggest political parties in the USA. I think the Republicans are conducting some kind of social experiment. They rack up candidates with more and more extreme views every time just to explore, where their limit is. I think they just want to know, how far they can go, until the tendency of religious shitheads to automatically vote republican, finally collapses under the load of one candidate's zealotism.
