So, there is this House M.D episode where the treatment (for those who don't know House M.D.: 70% of an episode consist of the patient getting even more fucked up by the treatment, until House finally sets up the life-saving diagnosis within the last two minutes. The other 30% consist of power games with his team typed "You're fired...welcome to the team. I quit my job...I'm back, deal with it") leads to the blindness of a patient, but the patient himself does not notice it.
Now, the really interesting thing is that this is not a Hollywood Myth. There are cases, where people suffer a brain damage causing them to become blind, but without them recognizing their own blindness. The medical term for this is
Anton-Babinski Syndrome. Ain't that funny?
